Hello and welcome to TWOBRUTAL, the premier club for Toyota based engine swaps into MR2's of all models - and whatever else you can find!

TB started as a personal documentary for my engine swap after being inspired by Paul Woods' original project, we soon became the place to document all the transplants of 3S-GTE's in the Mk1 (AW11). The site then expanded to cover V6 swaps into the Mk1 and into the Mk2 (SW20). Finally the Mk3 saw this transplant as the knowledge was spread and envelope pushed. We're now up to V8's into the Mk1 from Paul Woods and Podge, and into the Mk3 from PaulM. We've had turbo-charged V6's and supercharged V6's, the new 3.5ltr V6 from Toyota from the current Lotus Evora is also becoming popular both in the Mk1 and the Mk2, and I'm guessing there'll be a Mk3 along soon for that.

If you enjoy first class engineering and old skool banter, then this really is the home for you. There's all the support and "How-To" documentation that you can ever want.

We hope you enjoy your stay here and if there's anything you need - please don't hesitate to contact one of the admininistrators or moderators. You can be pretty sure that if it's MR2 related then the knowledge is already lurking in the forum, as you can imagine it's probably been covered by someone, somewhere.

    Regards,
    Nik Farmer

As Bob Dylan once penned, The Times They Are a-Changin. As I mentioned in the previous blog, we're planning on making some changes to the forums in the next week. Essentially there's going to be a reshuffle of the existing forums to make the layout a little easier, grouping stuff according to the model. Also as promised, control is coming to the community - We're opening the Admin doors to get some new moderators onboard.

There's no hard and fast rule to being a Mod; It's often a thankless task and there's no payment but thankfully, TB in generally, is a lot easier to moderate than most forums thanks to the members we have. So what does a moderator do? Basically, you'll ensure the smooth running of the section you look after; Make sure the rules are being adhered to, watching for the damn spam bots that sometimes plague us and make suggestions on how to shape TB's future.

So, how do you apply? Drop me a PM starting "I'd like to moderate the MK1/2/3 (delete as applicable) forum because" and tell me why.
