Yeah was looking to see if you could get the petrol cap on the valance next to the lid. Its all time and that kind of mod means the car off the road and someone else doing it. Scoop would be the ideal answer as i can get it painted and do the rest myself.

    Cheers toffer.

Tim it is worth it mate, once done it is done forever. The scoop will give you hardly anything in comparison with Toffer's and Paul's mod. Get the scoop if you can find it as i'll tell you this. It looks bad-asss hehe. But the vent is a grande idea!

yes i was thinking about this mod but i seem to remember that the side vent slats are wrong cause you have to flip it the wrong way or some thing and mk1a i think are a different vent design to mk1b i think.

love the side scoops though and they do scoop up air else why would lambo, ferrari and audi all have side scoops and engine scoops if not to cool and feed the engine air.

would definately give this a go for you chaps..would need one to have a look at though..

I'd be keen for one of these if this ever got off the ground. I've been contemplating routing one of these to a sealed airbox.

I have the scoop (near side). Would be agreeable to let you have it to take molds/measurements or whatever if you could agree to make me one as a back-up as well as the original. We know people want these. They are a really fantastic aesthetic upgrade.
