    Scumrun 2010

Hi folks, i have been contacted by a guy called Steve Durant who will be taking part in this years Scumrun with Ben Lerner, every year scumrun donate the proceeds of this event to a very worthy charity, this year it is Clic Sargeant who provide care for children with cancer.

The rules of scumrun are that you must buy a car for £500 so steve has bought a cheap Mk2 off Ebay and has asked Woodsport if we wouldn't mind donating to the cause by giving the car a good going over/ servicing it and making it fit for the 2500 mile trip across Europe. Of course we immediately agreed so sometime between now and april we will be prepping steves Mk2 for this years run and providing all parts and labour for free.

Twobrutal is also getting involved by supporting Steve / Ben (Teamlogical) by advertising their cause on the frontpage and asking you lovely folk if you could possibly donate a few quid to it.

Johnny has very kindly donated £50 from club funds and also from his own pocket to get the ball rolling.

Here is the link to Scumrun2010 for full details of the event www.scumrun.com and here is the direct link for donating to Teamlogical....

Anything you can give towards this very worthy cause would be very much appreciated, if you already have done then a huge thankyou from TB and Steve in advance.

We will also try to get Mr2only mag involved in some way to cover teamlogicals story.

    Thankyou, paul.

There's £50 from the club funds gone to this - so come on people did deep.

I Will slap some money down when my funds improve near the end of the month, this is a great charity to support.

I have not looked yet so may be a daft question/answer if you or can you giftaid your money as the charity can claim back or get back money from the goverment?

If your a uk taxpayer don't forget to giftaid the money as the goverment have to give extra money yay, please can you put this on the front page johnny as people may not know about this and any more money of the goverment to the charity can only be a good thing cheers mike.

    Good news then.

As several of my family have died from cancer, I try and support as many of these worth while causes as I can, as cancer is the most horrendous disease not just to the person but also to the family who some times get forgoten about, glad we as a club are suporting such a worth while cause, ann always doe's the fun run race for life and I do the run for Moore both in aid for cancer.

Excellent work for a worthwhile cause and really shrewd getting TB and MR2 Only to publicise it.

If the guys can get me a vest from CLIC Sargent, I will wear it in the Virgin London Marathon on the 26th April and collect some cash for them through sponsorship as I am not running for a charity.

I ran my first FLM for AICR a cancer research charity after losing my Dad to it, so just like Tiggs this is a cause very close to my heart. If they could get me a vest I'd be so proud to support the cause and collect something to donate to the guys.

Superb John. MR2 Only have already confirmed that they'll donate - and put a sticker on the car - further more, they'll get a feature in the magazine.
