hi all

we are now at the £680 mark on our fundraising for the event. we really need a big push to get this through 1 landmark of 1k. can you all help or ask around and be generous for the cause. we really want to go to this event knowing we have at least got close to our 3k target, if not beaten it. thats the whole reason we are doing it, for those who need our help.

we have had a great response so far but it seems to have faltered and i need some help to kick start it again. can you help??

Just a little update - Did my 3rd 19 mile run today in 3h 15m 46s, over 7 minutes faster than the first run, over 20 seconds a mile improvement. Looking good to do the Marathon in under 5 hours.

Next week is the first of 4 x 22 mile runs, the longest distance I will do until the marathon in 10 weeks.

Johnny/Scumrun guys - I will donate after I have completed the VLM as I am taking pledges for my run.

Just another update, we are now only 2 months away from doing the rally and we are up to £732. thanks to johnny who has kindly emailed everyone asking for £5 to help our cause from each of you. still need all your help i deperately dont want to go the event knowing we missed this target so if you can help please do so. also if anyone has a business and would like to pay a fee for advertising on the car then im happy to do so to boost the funds. just let me know. please please please help us get there! have to have a decent excuse to be away from the wife and kids for 5 days lol

Maybe you should try and get some bigger companies to sponsor you? Here in Holland the Rabobank does A LOT of sponsoring for smaller groups like the scouts/schools/charities etc. Other companies too. I would just go to an industrial area and start nocking doors. Sell some add space on the car and you should be able to get someones attention?

And Johnny, maybe get a 'Donor' user thingie for everyone who donates over 20 pounds or something?
